A native Vermonter , Kevin Rose, has over thirty years of on-the-water experience, ranging from the Bering Sea and Alaska's Aleutian Islands to the sun-drenched waters of the western Caribbean. For the past 23 years, he has made his home in Burlington, Vermont.

Life has been an adventure for Kevin. As a child growing up on the Connecticut River in eastern Vermont, Kevin took to the water with a Huck Finn style raft. A tent pitched on the deck served as shelter while he and his childhood friend drifted with the current for days on end. Today, over 30 years later, Kevin makes his home aboard Raven on Lake Champlain. His connections with the "backyard" run deep. Kevin worked for ten years as a planner for the City of Burlington. He is the founder of the Champlain Kayak Club and the Lake Champlain Paddlers' Trail. He teaches sailing/kayaking/rowing youth programs at the Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center and the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum. He is committed to keeping the lake's waters clean and safe and his volunteer efforts in that regard earned him the Lake Champlain Legacy Award in 2002.

In addition to keeping you safe and comfortable under way, Kevin's knowledge of the area's cultural and natural history along with his innate talent for spinning a yarn are sure to delight.

Welcome aboard.
